Favourite Quote/What Brings You a Sense of Ease
Therapy is not a 'one size fits all'. I hope that I may be able to be a part of your therapeutic journey in finding your authentic self.
What Problem Do You Strive to Overcome?
Have you ever felt that it has been so hard to navigate the world and all its moving parts? Do you identify as an immigrant or child of immigrant parents? Have you gone through significant life transitions? Are you working through challenges in your partnership or marriage, and cannot seem to find a way to communicate well with your partner?
Welcome to the start of a new chapter; your therapeutic journey awaits. In my last 10 years of practice, I have worked alongside young adults, couples, and individuals traversing through the challenges (and triumphs) of life. I find that as anxiety takes a toll on our mental health, it can become debilitating to find next steps, thus resulting in a “stuck” or “hopelessness” feeling.
My therapeutic lens is made up of theoretical models such as Experiential Therapy, Attachment/Psychodynamic Theory, Mindfulness and EMDR. My first two sessions with a new client involve an in-depth psychosocial assessment geared to first help me understand you and your background. By the third session I hope to come up with a collaborative treatment plan, that we can focus our attention on, throughout our time together.
I understand how hard it can be to find the right therapist and being new to a therapeutic alliance can be a tad intimidating. However, my hope and prayer is that in your journey of finding yourself, you would give yourself permission to validate and acknowledge your lived experiences.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist, my areas of focus include: Anxiety/worry/stress| issues and challenges related to life transitions| navigating your identity and who you are in Christ | communication challenges.
If you’re ready to get started, I always offer a 15-min consult to see if we are a good fit. I’d love to help you or a member of your family get the help they need to live better.
